Our adventures in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus continue....

Living the dream - Our villa is for sale

July 24

- Our first visit to the Wednesday market. Great fun and so much local farm produce. One thing is clear, you have to buy what is in season at any particular time and everything is organic, because there is no money for all the fertilisers and things that produce everything a perfect size and shape to suit Tesco customers. But we bought enough fresh fruit, vegetables and salad stuff to last us a week, for only £5.00. Later in the butchers we bought 7/8 days supply of fresh meat for £11.00. So no complaints about the cost of living.

Back to Lapta again in the evening, because this time, Mic and Chris had arranged a BBQ for their last evening before going back to U.K..  Michael and Barbara Smith, the 4th house on the plot, were also there, our first chance to meet them. Once again a very enjoyable evening, this time it was Joan's turn to drive.
