Our adventures in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus continue....

Sunny Lane Primary School, school fete day. The PTA had organised to run a fete to raise funds for various things needed round the school. There were a number of stalls set up to prise money off visitors and parents as a total of 800 million TL was needed to pay for the costumes for the summer national children's day, when the kids will put on a show. Joan managed to set up a lucky dip stall, with prizes from many friends and local business people, the children had been making painted pots and things over the last few weeks to sell, many parents had baked cakes and made other goodies  and Mark & Hayran brought in their bouncy castle to help with the fund raising. All in all a successful day and we understand that they exceeded their target.
