Our adventures in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus continue....
Having got the car insurance to go to the Greek south last week, we decided to make use of it today and go with Michael and Barbara to the hypermarket there and see what the shopping was like. Sandy and John Oram wanted to go across as well and as they had not been across before, followed us to the border and then to the hypermarket. The shopping complex is a bit like one of those French shopping centres in Calais and we all spent some time in there hunting out the cheaper things. If you look around, many things can be bought for less than you would pay here in the North, pork I suppose was the prime example and there were some things available that you just can't buy here, so an occasional trip across, with four in a car, soon recovers the insurance cost.
