Joan and I have our names in lights, well anyway an article about our reasons for buying a property here and the pleasures we have in the company of our many friends here. A fairly new property magazine " Property NC" was introduced some three months ago and we where asked if we would contribute an article about our reasons for coming here and why we like it so much. An opportunity for the positive we thought, especially in the light of such wonderful one sided journalism
as the Trevor Macdonald show. So if you get offered a copy then read all about it and you can even see a picture of me in that penguin outfit again and a magnificent full page picture which includes our banana crop.On a sad note, I have been watching the internet reports and the Euro news reports about the bombs in London. What sad minds could perpetuate such a thing and how dreadful for all those families who must be grieving today. In the days when I worked in London I used to train up to Charing Cross then take a tube ride to Aldgate East, it seems hard to imagine that one day you would just go to work normally and then never come home because some stupid fanatic believes that what he does is for the benefit of the world. Evil beyond comprehension.On Saturday our friend David is going back to Nairobi so this evening he came round and we all three sat out on the terrace with a simple dinner and a bottle of wine. Bon Voyage David, see you late September maybe.
