Our adventures in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus continue....
  
Young Daniel is three years old today and just as in other years we where invited to the birthday party. This coincides with the fact that it is also three years since we flew out here on our one way ticket and Daniel was born that same night.
Party time out here means lots of time spent in the swimming pool and new party games
devised. This one was a sort of variation on walk the plank, but has anybody tried to walk along a raft of blown up sun beds floating on the surface of the pool,the result is fairly inevitable. At the end of it all Daniel had to be declaredthe winner and got to stand on Derek's head.
Mark had done a superb BBQ with spare ribs, lamb chops, sausages etc and the the party food culminated in a Bob the Builderbirthday cake. Daniel was very funny because he didn't want anybody to have any cake as he declared it was all his and not to be shared.
Joan and I finally bailed out about 9.30 p.m. as by this time she was feeling fairly shattered and had had enough soda water. A great party though.
