Our adventures in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus continue....

August 20

- Joan and I did some clearing up of the builders rubbish. Don't know what it is here, but clean workers they are not and we feel sure they must arrive on Monday morning and think to themselves, we left that place nice and clean at the end of last week.

During the morning the carpenter turned up, much to our surprise and shifted all the storage cupboards from the old storeroom to the side garage wall. We must now be t

he only people in Lapta with a garage inclusive of fitted cupboards, very pretty, but also very useful as I can now hide all my tools and we can tuck things away such a suitcases etc.

It is still incredibly humid over here at the moment and all the locals say this is beyond the norm but it makes garden work and clearing up etc very warm work. Luckily for us Roger and Gill had invited the gang round, late afternoon, for a meal and a few beers. As usual this was a lovely way to spend an evening and of course there is always the pool to relax in when it is so hot, which is exactly what the three wise ! ladies did. Just the place to put the world to rights I think, looks like serious stuff to me.
